而这样的对话，在新哲早已不是**次。每年，新哲升学指导中心都会接待全球各地院校的招生官与教授来访，向学生和家长分享前沿招生政策。但这绝非单向的信息宣讲，而是一场引导学子自我探索、深度思辨、对话世界的成长旅程。在与名校学者面对面交流碰撞的过程中，同学们向内探寻，明晰自己想要成为什么样的人。

In the age of AI, what should schools focus on when preparing students for the talent demands of a future society? Dr. Morag Morrison-Helme from the University of Cambridge shared her perspective: "A good graduate, after completing their studies, should possess a flexible way of thinking and the ability to solve problems; and such a person is often creative, and also possesses critical thinking."

These words capture what top universities are really looking for: not just how much knowledge a student has acquired, but how they think. Genuine interest and passion must be built on real inquiry and deep thinking within a discipline. This educational core aligns closely with the "whole-person education" philosophy that Sendelta champions — we too believe that the value of education lies not merely in the accumulation of knowledge, but in nurturing people who can think, who retain a passion for learning, and who can keep growing.

It was precisely this shared understanding that brought Dr. Morag Morrison-Helme and her doctoral team from the University of Cambridge to Sendelta's campus on October 15, giving students a close-up experience of the academic excellence of a world-class university and opening up new directions for their growth and future applications.

And such conversations are nothing new at Sendelta. Every year, Sendelta's College Counseling Center welcomes admissions officers and professors from universities around the world to share the latest admissions policies with students and parents. But this is never one-way information delivery — it is a journey of growth that guides students toward self-discovery, deeper thinking, and a genuine dialogue with the world. 新哲文院与剑桥大学的缘分由来已久：从2024届牛剑双录计算机、数学专业，2025年斩获剑桥数学专业录取，再到今年拿下湾区**牛剑**人文专业双录取——“年年有牛剑”的录取传奇仍在续写。这份亮眼的办学成果，也让新哲赢得了全球**学府的高度认可。此前，剑桥大学的招生官就曾多次莅临学校，与我校学子开展面对面的交流座谈。而这一次，剑桥Dr.Morag Morrison-Helme 教授携博士生团队到访，让这份跨越多年的名校情缘又添上了新的注脚。

Dr. Morag Morrison-Helme自2002年以来一直在教育学院工作。她指导并讲授本科、研究生及研究生课程，涵盖教师教育、戏剧、创意和艺术教育。

讲座结束后，同学们意犹未尽。为深入答疑，学校特意组织了一场午餐座谈会，让同学们与Dr. Morag Morrison-Helme 教授近距离互动交流。

Sendelta's connection with the University of Cambridge goes back a long way: dual Oxbridge offers in Computer Science and Mathematics for the Class of 2024, a Cambridge Mathematics offer in 2025, and this year, the only dual Oxbridge offers in top humanities subjects across the region — a legacy of Oxbridge admissions year after year. These achievements have also earned Sendelta widespread recognition from the world's leading universities. Cambridge admissions officers have visited our campus on multiple occasions to meet and talk with our students face to face. This time, Dr. Morag Morrison-Helme from Cambridge arrived with her doctoral team, adding another chapter to this long-standing relationship.

During the visit, Dr. Morag Morrison-Helme toured Sendelta's Research and Innovation Center, the International Arts and Sports Center, and other distinctive facilities. Along the way, she spoke highly of the campus's strong academic atmosphere and well-equipped teaching facilities. After viewing student research projects, artwork, and club achievements, she noted that the school's diverse activity platforms and rich practical resources give students ample room to grow and strongly support their all-round development — a vivid embodiment of Sendelta's "whole-person education" philosophy.

Later, a special lecture was held at the New Theater. Dr. Morag Morrison-Helme spoke about Cambridge's collegiate system, its teaching features, the application process, and how Chinese applicants can highlight their strengths. As the talk drew to a close, students raised their hands eagerly, asking about application details and ways to strengthen their academic profile. The exchange was lively and engaging.

After the lecture, students were still eager for more. To give them a chance to dig deeper, the school arranged a lunchtime discussion where students could interact with Dr. Morag Morrison-Helme up close.

At the discussion, students spoke freely and asked questions in fluent English, seeking further guidance on university applications. Their questions covered everything from application strategies and interview techniques to personal statement writing and future career planning. Dr. Morag Morrison-Helme and her doctoral team listened patiently to each question and offered detailed, professional answers, providing valuable advice and inspiration.

After the event, the professor said in an interview that the students' confident and open manner of communication, along with their thoughtful questions, left a deep impression on her. She also mentioned that she looked forward to seeing Sendelta students at Cambridge.
