八年级的夏天，Eric还在公立名校的题海里迷茫。日复一日的应试压力，让他找不到学习的节奏，喜欢的篮球被挤到角落，心里藏着的好奇与热爱，也无处安放。

那时的他从未想过，接下来的四年高中时光，会变成一场热烈又充实的冒险。

择校之时，Eric和父母采纳了表姐的推荐。表姐毕业于新哲的前身——深圳实验学校高中部 AP 班，后于弗吉尼亚大学攻读生物学、耶鲁大学深造生物统计。随着新哲从深实验AP班升级为拥有独立校区的深圳实验学校国际教育基地，实验的基因和教学的底蕴一脉相承。

这份来自家族榜样的背书，让 Eric 坚定选择了新哲，也为自己推开了通往未来的全新大门。

没有无休止的考试，没有唯分数论的紧绷，这里的日子，他可以尝试、犯错，他的热爱可以被全力支持。四年高中时光，他从沉默内敛的少年，变成了带队夺冠的双料队长，从对机器人一无所知，到拿下全美Top5工程学院——伊利诺伊香槟工程学院offer。

他的高中，有球场上的汗水与呐喊，有机器人实验室里的钻研与逆袭，有并肩作战的伙伴，有敢闯敢试的底气，有满溢的快乐与成长。本期【新少年Vol.66】，让我们走近新哲2026届毕业生杨圳源Eric全力以赴的热血青春。

In the summer of Grade 8, Eric was lost amid endless exam drills at a top public school. Burdened by constant exam pressure, he struggled to find his own pace. His passion for basketball was put aside, leaving his inner curiosity and hobbies unfulfilled.

He never imagined that the following four years of high school would turn into a vibrant and fulfilling journey.

While choosing schools, Eric and his parents followed his cousin’s recommendation. She graduated from the AP program of Shenzhen Experimental High School, the predecessor of Sendelta. She later studied Biology at the University of Virginia and pursued further studies in Biostatistics at Yale University. Even though Sendelta has grown from a campus-based program into an independent school with its own premises, she still fully recognizes its fine educational heritage rooted in Experimental School’s philosophy.

Inspired by this family role model, Eric firmly chose Sendelta, opening a brand-new path toward his future.

His high school years are filled with sweat and cheers on the basketball court, dedication and breakthroughs in the robotics lab, loyal teammates, constant courage, and steady growth.

把热爱变成并肩作战的荣光

对Eric来说，篮球是刻在骨子里的喜欢。在以备战中考为头等大事的日子里，打球是一种奢侈；后来到了新哲，这份热爱终于有了安放的地方。

入学后他**时间加入篮球校队，ECA课后、课间闲暇，只要有空，他就泡在球场上。从传球、投篮到战术配合，汗水浸湿球衣的时刻，是他最放松也最专注的时光。十年级，凭借着沉稳的性格和出色的领导力，他当选篮球队长，这一担，就是整整三年。

他带着队友们训练、备战，大大小小的校际比赛打了一场又一场。2025年，他们一路过关斩将，拿下深圳国际学校联盟男篮**；2026年，常青藤国际体育校林匹克大赛华南赛区，他们三战全胜，以全胜战绩强势晋级全国总决赛，即将和全国**的国际学校球队同台竞技。

“Eric is a long-time leader and captain, an excellent player and person whom the entire team looks up to.”四年的篮球教练Yurri如是评价Eric。

“球场上没有孤军奋战，只有一群人为了同一个目标拼尽全力。”Eric说，篮球带给他的，不止是**奖杯，更是一群志同道合的伙伴，是摔倒了再爬起来的韧劲，是落后时不放弃、并肩扛压力的默契。教练眼里的他，是全队都信服的队长，是靠谱又**的伙伴，而对Eric来说，球场的每一刻呐喊、每一次配合，都是高中时光里最鲜活的快乐。

Eric and Basketball

Basketball runs deep in Eric’s blood. Back when everyone focused solely on senior high school entrance exam preparation, playing basketball seemed like a luxury. Yet at Sendelta, his passion finally found its place.

He joined the school basketball team right after enrollment. In after-class ECA periods and free time, he spent every spare moment on the court. He honed passing, shooting and tactical teamwork. Sweaty jerseys marked his most relaxed and focused moments. In Grade 10, thanks to his steady temperament and outstanding leadership, he was appointed team captain, a role he held for three full years.

He led his teammates through daily training and numerous inter-school matches. In 2025, his team claimed the men’s basketball championship of the Shenzhen International School League. In 2026, they achieved three straight victories at the Ivy International Sports Olympiad South China Division and qualified for the national finals, ready to compete against top teams across the country.

"Eric is a dedicated captain and outstanding player respected by the whole team," said Yurri, his basketball coach of four years.

"No one fights alone on the court; everyone strives for the same goal," Eric shared. Basketball brought him far more than trophies. It gave him like-minded friends, the grit to rise after setbacks, and the teamwork spirit to stay united amid difficulties. To his coach, he is a reliable and admired leader. To Eric himself, every cheer and teamwork moment on the court forms the most vivid joy of his high school life.

2科创逐梦

从零开始，逆袭赛场黑马

如果说篮球是Eric的青春底色，那么机器人，是他在高中意外收获的光。

九年级刚入学，他**次接触机器人，从搭建零件、编写代码到调试机器，一点点摸索，竟彻底爱上了这个充满挑战的领域。

十年级，Eric和两个好朋友一起创立了新哲VEX机器人社团。最开始只有3个成员，没有专属场地，就借用FRC社团的场地磨合；没有经验，就一起查资料、反复试错；缺乏理论基础，就选修校内的电子电气工程课夯实专业知识。从零件组装到程序优化，从赛前备战到赛场应变，他们泡在实验室里，对着机器人一遍遍调试，哪怕失败无数次，也没人想过放弃。

慢慢地，社团从3人小队壮大到30多人的团队，在学校不遗余力的支持下，有了专属的活动场地，有了齐全的设备，越来越多热爱机器人的同学聚在一起。Eric带着队伍征战VEX、FRC、RCJ各大国际机器人赛事，深圳赛、广州赛双双夺冠，面对华南四省近400支强队，稳稳拿下VEX亚洲机器人锦标赛华南区**。

最让他难忘的，是一场绝境逆袭的比赛。循环赛2胜6负，排名倒数，组队时被留到最后，头部队伍全部是强强联合，所有人都觉得他们不可能拿到名次。可队员们没有气馁，彼此打气、耐心复盘，赛前熬夜打磨方案，赛场里沉着应战，一路过关斩将，最终成了最耀眼的黑马，拿下总**。

刚刚过去的4月底，2026 VEX机器人世界锦标赛在美国密苏里州圣路易斯市震撼落幕，这场被誉为机器人界奥林匹克的全球**机器人赛事，汇聚全球最强科创精锐，数万支队伍层层厮杀、仅极少数站上总决赛战场。Eric拿到分区决赛亚军，为他高中机器人竞赛生涯画下了一个**的句号。

“看着冰冷的零件变成能运转的机器人，看着团队从低谷逆袭登顶，那种成就感，是任何东西都替代不了的。”Eric笑着说，这段打机器人竞赛的旅程，让他找到了未来的方向，也让他懂得，坚持与协作，总能创造惊喜。

Chasing Dreams in Science & Innovation

If basketball shapes the core of Eric’s youth, robotics is the unexpected light that brightens his high school days.

Upon entering Grade 9, he got his first taste of robotics. Gradually exploring parts assembly, coding and equipment debugging, he soon fell in love with this challenging field.

In Grade 10, Eric founded the Sendelta VEX Robotics Club together with two friends. Starting with merely three members, they had no dedicated venue and practiced in the FRC club space. Lacking experience, they looked up materials and kept experimenting. They devoted themselves to perfecting assembly, programming, pre-match preparation and on-site strategies, never giving up despite countless failures.

The small team later expanded into a group of over 30 members. With strong school support, the club gained exclusive activity spaces and complete facilities, gathering more robotics enthusiasts. Eric led the team to compete in major international events including VEX, FRC and RCJ. They claimed championships in Shenzhen and Guangzhou contests, and secured the South China regional title at the VEX Asian Robotics Championship among nearly 400 top teams across four southern provinces.

His most unforgettable experience was a stunning comeback victory. Having only two wins and six losses in round-robin matches, they ranked low and were the last to be picked for alliance matches against powerful opponents. Yet the team stayed motivated, reviewed weaknesses late into the night and stayed calm during competitions. They fought their way to the championship and became the biggest dark horse.

At the end of April, the 2026 VEX Robotics World Championship concluded in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. Known as the Olympics of robotics, this top-tier event gathered elite teams worldwide. Eric claimed the division runner-up, marking a perfect end to his high school robotics competition journey.

"There is no greater sense of achievement than turning plain parts into functional robots and leading a team to bounce back from adversity," Eric said with a smile. His robotics journey has pointed out his future path and taught him that perseverance and teamwork can always create miracles.

3不被定义的高中

既有热爱，也有远方

Eric的高中，没有被课业填满，而是在热爱的事业中，把每一天都过得充实又滚烫。

如今，他手握多所美国名校的数学和电子工程录取通知书，将前往全球机器人与工程教育的高地继续深耕热爱。这份成绩，不靠埋头苦读，而是源于热爱驱动的成长，源于一次次赛场历练的沉淀。篮球带给他的韧性，机器人带给他的专注，团队协作带给他的成熟，都成了他奔赴远方的底气。

回望这四年，Eric说，这是一段不留遗憾的时光。有热爱可追，有伙伴同行，有尝试的勇气，有成功的喜悦，也有面对挫折的从容——这大概是青春**的模样，也是新哲期许学子“既有成绩，又有快乐，还有可持续发展”的教育初心
