Sendelta fielded 4 high school teams and 3 junior high school teams for the tournament. To prepare, team members participated in high-intensity training matches on campus every week.
The coaching staff accompanied the team throughout the process, providing all-round support—from tackling technical challenges to adjusting mental states.

Notably, 80% of the participants were new forces competing on this stage for the first time. They overcame the pressure of limited experience and defeated strong opponents consecutively as dark horses.

Cheng, a senior member of Sendelta’s Robotics Club, previously handled the team’s mechanical debugging. This time, he made his first transition to an operator, leading Team 2597Z to claim the High School Division Championship and securing a direct spot in the national tournament for Sendelta. After the competition, he joked, "I seized the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity."

Zhong, a new member of Sendelta’s Robotics Club who joined at the start of the new semester, was one of the few female participants in the tournament. Under the coaching staff’s guidance for over a month, she not only mastered robot operation skills proficiently but also quickly adapted to the team’s tactics.
In the High School Division Qualifiers, her stable performance helped the team win the special "Innovation Award" of the tournament and also secure a spot in the national tournament.

Team 93333A, composed of Wang and Zeng, demonstrated a sense of collaboration beyond their years and served as the perfect model of team spirit. Eventually, this new team was awarded the "Best Teamwork Award."
The achievements in this South China Regional Round are not only another breakthrough for Sendelta in youth robotics education — it’s the school’s second consecutive year winning the High School Division Championship and securing a national tournament spot at the VEX South China Regional Round — but also a testament to the students’ transformation from "technical learners" to "competitive challengers."

After the competition, the teacher encouraged the team members: "Every debugging session and every match on the robotics field lays the foundation for the path of innovation in the future."
We look forward to them continuing their glory and writing a new chapter at the next stop — the national tournament!

Nick
As a teacher who has accompanied these children through multiple VEX competitions, I’ve clearly witnessed their growth as they transform from "newcomers" to "warriors" on the field — a growth that is far more profound than just trophies and certificates.
Practical Transformation of Technical Abilities
Starting from scratch—no prior experience in bearing installation or programming—the children tackled structural optimization, program debugging, and tactical design over three months. This ability to "solve practical problems from zero to one" is more vivid and valuable than any textbook knowledge.
2. Mental Tempering of Pressure Resistance and Adaptability
First-time participants stayed calm amid unexpected issues like robot gear jams, dividing tasks and fixing problems quickly. This "stay composed and break through challenges" mindset is honed through repeated "stress tests," equipping them to face academic or life challenges with greater poise in the future.
3. Cognitive Upgrade of Team Collaboration
VEX competitions emphasize multi-party coordination. The children moved from disputes over task division to learning empathy and tacit cooperation, realizing that "winning" stems from collective team strength. This awareness of "valuing collaboration and taking responsibility" will take them further than any technical skill.
4. Growth Awakening Through Setbacks
Faced with losses and mistakes, the children shifted from "fearing failure" to confronting it bravely and learning from experience. Rookie team 93333E advanced to the top 4 after overcoming a misjudgment and replay. This ability to "draw nourishment from setbacks" is the most precious gift the competition has given them.
In fact, every time I lead the team, what brings me the greatest joy is not the awards, but the change in their eyes: from "I want to try" at the start, to "we can do it" in the process, and finally to "I want to make a change; we’ll do better next time" after the competition. The VEX field is like a "mini-society" — it holds the joy of success, the test of failure, and the warmth of a group striving side by side. The abilities, mindset, and insights accumulated from these experiences will become the strongest "foundation" for their future lives.
