Luke同学在AL计算机科学荣获A*

数学作为实验ALevel的 “金字招牌”，此次再添高光时刻。继2024年我校学子成功收获剑桥大学数学专业录取后，今年，Barry同学以数学、进阶数学、物理、化学四门A*的优异表现，顺利达成剑桥大学数学专业预录取的全部学术要求，延续“年年有牛剑”之佳话。此外，ALevel 数学中的D1与M2，是公认兼具深度与应用性的核心模块 —— 前者聚焦数学在逻辑构建、问题结构化中的应用，后者则侧重高阶物理与数学的交叉融合。实验ALevel 学子在D1模块拿下 67%A率，在M2模块更实现100%A率，完美证明了他们扎实的数学基本功，更彰显了学子们在逻辑推理、模型构建与实践应用上的全面优势。

英国顶尖大学在招生中，除标化成绩外，格外看重学生的课外拓展与学术研究潜力，而EPQ（Extended Project Qualification）正是展现这类能力的关键加分项。该项目要求学生围绕专业兴趣自主选题，在教师指导下独立完成深度研究：需撰写约5000字学术报告，面向非专业听众完成10-15分钟答辩，全程投入时间超120小时，对自主学习与研究能力提出极高要求。实验ALevel学子在本年度EPQ项目中达成100%A率，用全优表现展现了媲美本科阶段的学术研究潜力，为冲击世界名校再添重磅筹码。

Students from the ALevel Division of Sendelta continued their outstanding performance in this year’s global examinations, with subject excellence rates far exceeding the global average. Particularly in universally recognized high-difficulty and popular subjects such as ESL, Computer Science, and EPQ, as well as challenging modules like A-Level Mathematics D1 and M2, the students broke through academic barriers with extraordinary academic prowess, delivering impressive results.

In the IGCSE English as a Second Language (ESL) examination, many students achieved A/A* grades, placing their English proficiency at the IELTS 7-7.5 level. Among them, Student Clara led the nation with an exceptional score of 97, setting a remarkable benchmark for language proficiency.

Ranked among the top 10 most difficult subjects, Computer Science is known as the "King of Difficulty" due to its extremely low pass rate. Despite this challenge, Sendelta’s ALevel students achieved an 83% A rate in IGCSE Computer Science and an outstanding 100% A* rate in A-Level Computer Science. Notably, Student Luke is set to pursue a degree in Computer Science at Imperial College London. These results not only demonstrate the ALevel Division of Sendelta’s strong capability in nurturing top-tier Computer Science talents and its achievements in fostering academic literacy in theory, programming, and algorithm design, but also highlight its commitment to developing students’ solid mathematical foundations, rigorous logical thinking, and practical problem-solving skills.

Mathematics, long regarded as the "golden signature" of the ALevel Division of Sendelta, has added another highlight to its legacy. Following the admission of our student to the Mathematics program at the University of Cambridge in 2024, this year, Student Barry has successfully met all academic requirements for conditional admission to the same program at Cambridge, thanks to his outstanding performance of securing A*s in four subjects: Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. This achievement continues the inspiring tradition of "annual admissions to Oxford and Cambridge."

Furthermore, the D1 (Decision Mathematics 1) and M2 (Mechanics 2) modules of A-Level Mathematics are widely recognized as core modules that combine academic depth and practical application. The former focuses on the application of mathematics in logical construction and problem structuring, while the latter emphasizes the interdisciplinary integration of advanced physics and mathematics. Students from the ALevel Division of Sendelta achieved a 67% A rate in the D1 module and an impressive 100% A rate in the M2 module. These results not only confirm their solid mathematical fundamentals but also highlight their comprehensive strengths in logical reasoning, model building, and practical application.

When admitting students, top UK universities place great emphasis on extracurricular development and academic research potential, in addition to standardized test scores. The Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) is a key differentiator that showcases such abilities. This program requires students to independently select a research topic based on their academic interests, conduct in-depth research under teacher guidance, write a 5,000-word academic report, and deliver a 10-15 minute presentation to a non-specialist audience—with a total time investment of over 120 hours. It places extremely high demands on students’ independent learning and research capabilities. In this year’s EPQ program, students from the ALevel Division of Sendelta achieved a 100% A rate, demonstrating undergraduate-level academic research potential through their flawless performance and adding a powerful advantage to their applications for world-renowned universities.
