新少年 | 曾馨蓉Sarah:在新哲国际初中,于探索中思考、碰撞中成长

“读万卷书,行万里路”,Sarah的童年时光,始终与探索世界紧密相连。小学阶段曾在澳、中、英三国求学,足迹遍布四十余座城市、参观过百余家博物馆美术馆的经历,让Sarah更早看到了世界的广阔,也更渴望找到一片能承载自己好奇心与求知欲的成长土壤。

Sarah's childhood has always been closely tied to exploring the world. During her primary school years, she studied in Australia, China, and the UK. Having visited over 40 cities and more than 100 museums and art galleries, she gained an early understanding of the world's vastness and a stronger desire to find a nurturing environment that could accommodate her curiosity and thirst for knowledge.


如今,作为新哲文院八年级在读学生,Sarah在这里找到了属于自己的成长节奏——不仅有量身定制的学术课程,也有容纳多元热爱的广阔空间,更有滋养“敢提问、能探索、会成长”品质的教育氛围。

Now, as an 8th-grade student at Sendelta, Sarah has found her own pace of growth here. She not only has access to tailored academic courses but also a broad space that embraces diverse passions. More importantly, she is in an educational atmosphere that fosters the qualities of "daring to question, being able to explore, and knowing how to grow".

一人一课表,

解锁学术新节奏



“以前在不同国家上学,我总在适应不同的课堂节奏,直到来到新哲,‘一人一课表’让我第一次觉得,课程可以是完全为我量身打造。”提及在新哲文院的学术体验,Sarah的语气里满是认可与欣喜。这份“适配感”,源自新哲文院精准的分层教学体系,也让学术基础本就扎实的她,得以在最适合自己的赛道上稳步前行。

When talking about her academic experience at Sendelta, Sarah's tone is filled with approval and delight. This "sense of fit" stems from Sendelta's precise differentiated instruction system, allowing her—who already has a solid academic foundation—to move forward steadily on the track that best suits her.

翻开Sarah的课表,每一门课程都透着“个性化”的用心数学课程打通Algebra1至Precalculus层级,让她直接进入适配自身水平的高阶课堂;ESL Level5课程精准匹配她的英语能力,课堂上的讨论、阅读、写作训练,既不会让她觉得吃力,又能持续提升;科学课更是让她直呼“过瘾”——老师从不止步于讲解理论知识,还会带着她们做实验,”这种‘实践 + 理论’的结合,比单纯背书记得牢多了”。

优异的成绩背后,离不开Sarah自身的自律与努力。每天课后一小时的复习习惯,是她保持学术优势的关键,也让她在本学期跳级进入M3(八年级)后,能快速适应更高年级的学习节奏。

Behind her excellent academic performance lies Sarah's self-discipline and hard work. Her daily habit of reviewing for one hour after class is the key to maintaining her academic edge, allowing her to quickly adapt to the learning pace of a higher grade after skipping to M3 (8th grade) this semester.


这份自律,从小学一二年级便已养成:每天放学后,她都会花时间梳理当天所学的知识点,遇到模糊不清的内容,一定会反复琢磨,直到完全掌握;遇到生词或疑问,她会第一时间查阅资料,若还是无法解决,便主动向老师请教。

This self-discipline has been cultivated since she was in the first and second grades of primary school.

运动场上,她是新哲女子篮球校队里奋力拼搏的队员,也是游泳、拳击、网球、芭蕾舞等运动的爱好者;课余时间,她是联合国的公益大使,救助流浪猫的志愿者,是向乡村小学捐赠图书衣物的公益参与者,也是参观过百余个博物馆美术馆的“行者”、抱着书本啃读的“小书迷”。而新哲“一动一静”培养理念,恰好为她提供了多元成长空间,让每一份热爱都有处安放。

Sarah has a wide range of interests: she is a member of Sendelta's girls' basketball team, proficient in swimming, boxing, tennis, and ballet. Additionally, she is passionate about public welfare, loves reading, and has visited numerous museums and art galleries.

SPORTS

“基本每天都有体育课,这是我特别喜欢新哲的一点!”说起运动,Sarah的眼睛瞬间亮了起来。在新哲的篮球校队里,她对运动的喜好得到了很好的延续——球场训练时和队友一起打磨传球、投篮技巧,比赛时为了集体荣誉拼到最后一秒,“运动不仅让我拥有健康的身体、保持快乐活力的状态,还能帮我释放压力。

READING


阅读则是Sarah“充电”的方式。每天晚上回家,她都会抽出半小时到一小时阅读,“有些人觉得读书是任务,但我觉得是放松”。从《Harry Potter》的奇幻世界,到《Percy Jackson》的冒险故事,再到反复读了4 遍的《The Night Bus Hero》,每一本书都给她带来不同的收获。新哲藏书丰富的图书馆、每周英语阅读安排,更让她的阅读习惯有了“安放之处”——在这里,阅读不是“任务”,而是与自己对话、拓宽视野的美好时光。

Reading is Sarah's way to "recharge". Every night when she gets home, she sets aside 30 minutes to an hour for reading. "Some people see reading as a task, but I think it’s a form of relaxation," she says. Sendelta’s well-stocked library and weekly English reading sessions provide the perfect "home" for her reading habit.

除了坚持每日固定阅读,在新哲英语老师的鼓励下,Sarah还将对文字的热爱延伸到创作中,利用课余时间打磨自己的英文小说作品。

In addition to keeping a regular daily reading habit, Sarah, encouraged by her English teachers at Sendelta, also creates her own English novels in her spare time.


CHARITY



公益,则是Sarah从童年延续至今的“初心”。无论是参与流浪猫救助,还是多次参加义卖活动,捐赠衣物与图书给贵州、内蒙古的乡村小学,抑或是为垃圾分类的公益跑步比赛,都让Sarah感受到帮助他人的快乐。而新哲国际初中“德育塑人”的理念,与她的公益初心不谋而合——学校注重学子品格塑造、习惯养成、责任担当,在这里,Sarah的善良与责任感,得到了很好的滋养。

Charity is a "original aspiration" Sarah has held since childhood and continued to this day. Through various public welfare activities, she has felt the joy of helping others. Sendelta International Junior High attaches great importance to shaping students' character, fostering good habits, and cultivating a sense of responsibility. Here, Sarah's kindness and sense of duty have been well nurtured.

在新哲求学的日子里,Sarah的成长轨迹清晰而扎实:刚入学时,她在老师的帮助下适应分层课程,找到学术节奏;跳级进入M3(八年级)后,她主动调整学习方法,攻克知识难点;课余时间,她平衡着篮球训练、阅读与公益活动,从不觉得忙碌——因为这些都是她热爱的事情,每一份付出都充满了意义。

"when I grow up, I want to be a joyful person, full of passion for life and always love it." When asked about her future goals, Sarah’s answer carries a certainty beyond her years. “新哲最吸引我的,是它让我‘既能学好,又能玩好’。”Sarah回忆起参加I-Mart创意集市的经历,依然充满笑意——收集印章兑换奖品的过程中,她学会合理消费与管理金钱,在快乐游戏中掌握商业知识。这种“在实践中学习”的模式,正是新哲国际初中“三层活动体系”的缩影:从全员参与的运动会、文艺汇演,到70+社团的个性化选择,再到全学科竞赛、研学夏校资源对接,每个孩子都能找到属于自己的舞台,释放自己的潜能,收获快乐与知识。

Today, Sarah carries her original aspiration of "loving life" and grows happily on the campus of Sendelta.

“我们对孩子的成长教育有几个核心思路:一是‘读万卷书’与‘行万里路’结合,在打好学业基础的同时,从小带她多见识世界、参与社会实践;二是注重亲子陪伴,我和爸爸会陪她一起运动;最终目的是帮她找到平衡,既不内卷内耗、避免过度劳累,也不消耗她对学习的热情,同时兼顾优异成绩。”

"We have several core ideas about our child's growth and education. First, we combine 'reading ten thousand books' with 'traveling ten thousand miles'—while laying a solid academic foundation, we have taken her to see the world and participate in social practices from an early age. Second, we attach great importance to parent-child companionship; her father and I will do sports with her. The ultimate goal is to help her find a balance: not getting trapped in internal competition and exhaustion, avoiding overwork, not draining her enthusiasm for learning, and at the same time maintaining excellent grades."
